Feeding guidelines
Liver is a nutritional powerhouse, so moderation matters.
Our feeding guide is based on average requirements for dog weight ranges:
5-10kg → 10-15 grams / week
10-15kg → 15-20 grams / week
15-20kg → 20-25 grams / week
20-25kg → 25-30 grams / week
25-30kg → 30-35 grams / week
30kg+ → 35 - 45 grams / week
*Important - if feeding your dog other vitamin supplements, please consult your vet before feeding these liver treats.
Please supervise your dog at all times when feeding a treat, and ensure fresh water is readily available.

General guidance
Handling and storing these treats
These treats have been freeze-dried which is not a complete pathogen kill-step.
Please follow appropriate hygiene practices such as washing hands immediately after handling treats, cleaning any surfaces that have come in contact with treats with disinfectant, and safe storage of treats.
Treats should be stored away from any human food and appropriately sealed.
Store in a cool, dry airtight container. Use within 60 days of opening.
Compostable packaging
Our treat packaging is certified compostable to EN 13432 standard.
Dispose with waste going to industrial composting facilities.

Is liver safe for puppies?
We suggest only feeding this treat to dogs above 6 months of age, and always following the feeding guidelines.
How long do these treats stay fresh for?
Approximately 6 months if kept within a sealed, airtight container.
What is freeze-drying, and why do it?
Freeze-drying removes water at low temperature, helping preserve heat-sensitive nutrients and natural flavours while creating a low-moisture treat with long ambient shelf-life (when kept sealed).
Independent reviews in food science show freeze-drying better preserves delicate vitamins and functional compounds than typical high-heat drying methods.
In controlled canine studies, freeze-dried formats have demonstrated high macronutrient digestibility versus some fresh and extruded formats (results vary by recipe).
We have rescue greyhounds, and anyone who knows about this breed will know their teeth can be a real problem.
Beryl, who still has all her teeth and is an absolute gannet absolutely loved them. But poor Theo who had 8 teeth out all in one go last year really struggled, bless him. He resorted to sucking them, which was really funny, but his little face made me feel really guilty. In the end he just dropped it on the floor to let Beryl the Barmy Brindle hoover it up!
